I’m an architect based in Surry Hills. I studied architecture at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, then moved to New Zealand in 2002. I worked in several cities there on all kinds of projects, from houses to commercial and aged-care work, and completed a Master of Architecture in Sustainable Design at the University of Auckland. That shaped how I think about sustainability, and it’s still a big part of how I design.

In 2011 I moved to Sydney and spent close to ten years working with Furio Valich at G+V Architecture, going from Architectural Designer to Associate. It was a two-person practice, so I was involved in everything: feasibility, design, documentation, council negotiations, consultants and site. Projects from that time include Reddam House in Woollahra, DaMario’s in Rosebery, a beach house in Avalon, homes in Vaucluse and Rose Bay, and 61 Cross Street in Double Bay.

After Furio passed away in 2021, I started A Studio Architecture. I work on new homes, renovations, older and heritage houses, and small commercial projects across Sydney, and I look after each one myself.

Nioka House, which Furio and I started together, won the 2025 NSW Award for Heritage (Creative Adaptation) and was featured in the Sydney Morning Herald. Terminal 13 in Newport was published in Houses and Cars: Where Dreams Park by Andreas K. Vetter (Callwey) and featured in Domain.

I’m a Registered Architect in NSW (ARBN 11302), an A+ Member of the Australian Institute of Architects and a Certified Passive House Designer. I speak English and Spanish, and some Italian.
