Architect on Sydney’s Northern Beaches

I love working on the Northern Beaches. A lot of the sites are steep, close to the water and have great views, but they come with their own challenges: neighbours close by, salty weather, bushfire rules and council controls.

I always start with the site: where the sun comes in, what you can see from each room, and how to open the house up to the outside while still keeping some privacy.

Terminal 13, Newport. It started as a garage for a car collection and grew into a full interior redesign, with more privacy and a deck in the backyard looking out over Bungan Beach. It took a few DAs with Northern Beaches Council to get there.

If you’ve got a place on the Beaches and want to see what you can do with it, get in touch. Happy to have a chat.
